Steps to Find the End City
1. Teleport through Another Portal
In Minecraft, after you have travelled to the End and defeated the ender dragon, a new structure will appear that is made out of bedrock and has a small portal in the center.
This portal is too small to walk through so instead you have to teleport through it with an ender pearl.
To do this, select an ender pearl in your hotbar, position your pointer on the portal and right click to throw the ender pearl through the portal.
You will teleport to a new area in the End that is made up of lots of small islands.
2. Increase your Render Distance
Now, you will have to search for the End City among all of the islands. To have a better chance of seeing the End City far away, you may want to increase your render distance.
To do this, press the Esc key to open your Game menu and click on the Options... button.
Under Options, click on the Video Settings... button.
Then increase the Render Distance setting. By default, it will be set to 12 chunks. We’ve increased our render distance to 32 chunks which is the maximum. Make sure you choose a render distance that your computer can handle without glitching.
3. Find an End City
Now that you can see as far away as possible, start looking at the different islands for the End City. You will have to travel for quite a while before you find it.
This is what the End City looks like:
It is well worth finding an End City because it has lots of chests that contain amazing items. You might say that these chests are the best you can find in the game (for now)!
Here are the contents of one of the chests that we found in the End City:
