Though cooking might seem like a bit of a novelty, food is very powerful in Genshin Impact. Eating meals is one of the only ways to revive characters, but food can also increase stats, grant immunity to status effects like the cold in Dragonspine, or just straight-up heal you. This is why it’s always useful to pick up recipes from restaurants across Teyvat and keep a stocked larder. We recommend farming ingredients using expeditions, but in terms of starting locations, you can buy meat from Draff at Springvale during the day, and there’s a great place to hunt boar just east of Stormterror’s Lair.
